These are detailed scans of the pelvic area. We undertake both a trans-abdominal and trans-vaginal (internal) scan approach for these examinations for optimum clarity and accuracy. At your request these scans can be undertaken via a transabdominal (tummy scan) approach only, however results may not be as accurate.

The Endometrial Thickness Scan is designed for those undergoing or about to undergo fertility treatment, either within the UK, Ireland or abroad. It involves a transvaginal ultrasound examination focussing on the endometrium (lining of the womb) with a basic assessment of the ovaries.
This scan will determine the thickness and appearance of the endometrium and the ovaries will be checked to ensure they are ‘quiet’. Please note, this scan does not include a full follicle count. If you require a follicle count, our FERTILITY SCAN is more appropriate for you.

The Fertility Scan is a gynaecological scan designed for those who are undergoing fertility treatment either within the UK, Ireland or abroad. The scan will assess the uterus, endometrium (lining of the womb) and ovaries.
This scan includes measurements of antral follicles within the ovaries to assess their size, development, and response to any medication. This scan can be performed for both natural cycles and medicated/stimulated cycles.
